"Cara?" Dahlia says, her look disoriented. They are in the woods, hidden behind thick bushes,waiting. "Something is wrong. How did we get here?"
“卡拉？”达利亚说道，看上去有些手足无措。她们现在在小树林里，在浓密的树丛里藏身，似乎在等待着什么。“我感觉有点不对劲。我们是怎么来到这里的？”
There is an ache between Cara's ribs suddenly, and she gasps, pressinga hand below her heart. When Dahlia grasps her hand to look, the leather gloveis covered in blood. "Who did this to you?" Dahlia says, eyes widewith worry.

Cara rises."It's nothing," she says.
卡拉站起来。“没什么。”她说道。
"Don't," Dahlia says, as Cara begins to move."Something is wrong," she repeats.
“别这样。”达利亚说，卡拉已经准备走了。“有点不对劲。”她重复道。
For a moment it feels like there is something important Cara hasforgotten. But the feeling passes quickly, and she disentangles herself fromDahlia's grip to step out in front of Kahlan and Richard, unable to hold back a smile atwhat is to come.
有一瞬间，卡拉感觉她好像忘记了什么非常重要的事情，但是这样的感觉很快就消失了。她挣脱了达利亚的手，走到凯兰和理查德前方，脸上情不自禁地露出了微笑。
It happens the way Cara imagined it would. She has sparred with Richard and fought beside him enough that she knowsthe way he does battle. She knows he will hesitate and she knows that is whenshe'll strike him down.The dark magic is like fire inside her, pushing her forward, and it isglorious. The compass falls, burned, from its tie around his neck and Richardscreams.

In the corner of her eye, Cara sees Dahlia fall to her knees infront of Kahlan and for a moment she is paralyzed, even as she realizes that Kahlan isn't confessingher.

Dahlia looks at Cara as she lays her Agiel on the ground, andthen there is a sharp pain in Cara's head as she plunges into unconsciousness.
达利亚看着卡拉，同时把手中的安吉棒放在了地上。卡拉感到头部一阵剧痛，昏了过去。
